What is a skip bag?

July 14, 2022

A compact and convenient waste removal option.

If you have a small project on your hands, such as clearing a small garden or renovating the front yard fences, then a skip bag is an option we can suggest.

Sometimes, there are situations where you won’t need a skip. For instance, clearing out a small garden isn’t going to fill up a skip, so why pay for one when you can look at using skip bags?

Skip bags are an affordable and practical waste removal solution for small tasks. They are pretty versatile and don’t take up much space in the front garden either.

First of all, they are strong and can hold a sufficient volume of smaller waste. They’re also waterproof, so you can leave them outside without worry.

Once you have filled the skip bag, our team will then arrive to collect the waste and take this to a recycling facility. Skip bags are a popular choice for homeowners who have a small stream of waste to get rid of.

Circle Waste is a master of waste removals, we can provide varied methods depending on the amount of waste you have and the amount of space you have. We stock a range of different sized skip bags accommodating to domestic waste.

However, there are cases where a skip bag won’t be suitable, and in this instance we would suggest small skips or man and van services.

What can't you put in a skip bag?

Just like a skip, you can’t put hazardous or harmful waste in a skip bag. These items include (but are not limited to):

·         TVs

·         Computers

·         Asbestos

·         Tyres

·         Fluorescent tubes

·         Fridges (or any white goods)

·         Paint and paint tins

·         Plasterboard

·         Batteries

·         Liquids

·         Oil/Fuel

·         Explosives (fireworks etc.)

Can I put electrical waste (WEEE) in a skip bag?

Unfortunately you cannot put electrical items in skip bags as WEEE waste is handled differently from most domestic waste. If you need to get rid of any computers, microwaves etc. please seek a man and van service or optional means.

Can I put bricks and rubble in a skip bag?

Of course! This is typically what we collect from our skip bags and so you are welcome to put hard waste in our skip bags.

Think you might need a skip bag?

We will be happy to talk you through your waste requirements and recommend your options. We can discuss the waste type you have and provide you with more information on our skip bags.
